Jeśli ktoś myśli, że omijają nas typowe zajęcia szkolne, to się myli. Dzisiaj na przykład półtorej godziny spędziliśmy na typowych lekcjach. Na szczęście to była sztuka, a nie, jak w przypadku naszych hiszpańskich partnerów – matematyka J Serdecznie im współczuliśmy.

Tym bardziej, że ominęła ich też kolejna atrakcja – wycieczka i zwiedzanie fabryki Reno, gdzie mogliśmy obserwować proces produkcji tych samochodów począwszy od płaskiego arkusza aluminium, a skończywszy na gotowym modelu coupe (i trzech innych – do wyboru), w którym mogliśmy zasiąść za kierownicą ledwie po zajściu z taśmy produkcyjnej. Towar jeszcze pachniał świeżościąJ Możemy zaświadczyć, że taka produkcja, to naprawdę COŚ. Mamy też niespodziankę dla naszych kochanych tatusiów, ale to po powrocieJ

Razem z naszymi partnerami zwiedziliśmy również urokliwe miasteczko Carrion. A na deser możemy się pochwalić wizytą w rzymskiej wilii z IV stulecia. Aż trudno uwierzyć, że wieki temu pławili się w takich luksusach. Z drugiej strony życie bez komórki? Co to za życie? O kablówce nie wspominającJ

Kolejny interesujący dzień za nami. Jutro – Burgos nadjeżdżamy!

9th May: A Day Trip to a Special City

 Today we were in Burgos, an important city in the Castilla y Leon region. It is the second biggest city here and one of the reason of its importance is that it is on the St. James’s way.

First we visited the Burgos cathedral. It is pretty enormous, we would even say – large.  We had the possibility to see a collection of wonderful pictures and sculptures, real pieces of art. But, of course we could also see many beautiful chapels and altars. We spent there one hour but we managed to see just a part of it. We hope the photos will show all the beauty of this unique building.

After visiting the cathedral, we had much free time to visit some part of the city of Burgos. Three hours to be more precise. Thank you, our teachers for such a possibilityJWe visited a huge variety of shops, especially clothes and sports ones.

We found also a time for lunch, of course. Then, we went to “The museum of Evolution”. It was a great experience. It’s quite modern and it’s equipped in many interesting tools which made the visit very interesting. We could watch some movies, learnt something about the techniques used in archeology, listen to some interesting information (everything in English, of courseJ), watch some amazing excavations and do many other things.

After two hours we finally went to our homes in Palencia with plenty of new memories.

8th May: Tuesday. A visit to a Car factory and Carrión.

Today we started our lesson at 8.15. They were art classes and they lasted for two hours. We learnt how to make a photo frame with some Japanese technique. Quite difficult to do it, but we of course did them easily (ok, with some problems, but small onesJ)

   Then, we went to the Fasa Factory: Renault factory. There we spent for 3-4 hours but it was worth. We learnt many things about the car production. I think, now I know more about that, than my dadJ

   Next, we went, with Spanish partners to Carrion. The first stop was in San Zoilo Monastery. We didn’t visit it in a traditional way, just admired the views and took some great photos.

   On the way back, at 17:30 we visited the Villa Romana La Olmeda. Other words, we saw some  ruins of the roman´s villa. We had a great time there. We couldn’t believe that they lived in such a luxury more than 1600 years ago. Unbelievable!

After that visit we went back home. I could hear a lot of laugh in the bus. We talked a lot and told some jokes.

   To make it short - We had a fantastic time!

7 th May : Our first School day

 On 7th May we got up very early. It was before 8 o’clock when we left our homes. First, we went around our new school, it is very nice and much bigger than ours, in Stróża. The students are very    funny and helpful.

   After that we went to the library, there we sat at the tables and tried to describe our first days in Spain. We had to wait for our Spanish friends who had lessons. We met them after two hours.  About 11 o’clock they took us to the major of the Palencia town and he welcomed us in Spain J.  He was very nice. It was very interesting visit because we sat on special chairs in a splendorous hall. When we finished the meeting, two women gave us some presents. We were very happy.

Next, we went back to school and had Informatics classes with Andres (our Spanish second coordinator) about Photoshop. But before that, we ate some cakes and drank water. The lessons were very funny and entertaining. We think that we will try do the same in Poland. It was about 14.30 when the lessons finished.

   After that we came back our homes for lunch. We think that Spanish cuisine is very very good. The food is always fresh and prepared very well. The best of all are the strawberries. They are very big and sweet.

   We met again about 16.00 and went to Valladolid, the big city near Palencia, the previous capital of Spain. There we first went for sightseeing and then for shopping. The city was very nice and had some beautiful monuments. The shopping centre was huge and we had great fun! But we had not enough time for visiting our favourite shops, for instance Bershka, Stradivarius, Zara, H&M, Clarie’s which are the same as in Poland. But we bought some shakes which coloured ours mouths. J When the clock showed 20.30 we went for a bus. About 21.30 we were back in Palencia. We said ‘’goodbye’’ and came back to our homes.
           

The day was really exciting and we enjoyed it much. J

Nowe znajomości, czyli poznawanie całej rodziny

 6 maja był dniem wolnym od szkoły, dniem, który spędzaliśmy z rodzinami naszych partnerów. Nie mieliśmy wtedy żadnych zajęć ani wycieczek. Odpoczywaliśmy. J

   Zaczęliśmy od śniadania. Jedzenie jest tu bardzo dobre. Wszystko takie świeże i apetycznie wyglądające, no może poza owocami morza J, których jedzą tu naprawdę dużo. Z resztą ogólnie Hiszpanie jedzą bardzo dużo, co prawda aby 3 posiłki dziennie, ale w ogromnych ilościach. Więc kochani rodzice, nie martwcie się, nie chodzimy głodni, problemem mogą być dodatkowe kilogramy, które pojawią się w postaci zbędnej tkanki tłuszczowej.

   Po śniadaniu było wiele możliwości. Niektórzy wybrali się do domków letniskowych (większość Hiszpanów posiada takie rodzinne domki poza miastem), inni woleli udać się do restauracji, a kolejni doparku. Nieliczni szczęśliwcy spędzili ten dzień spacerując po plaży. Ja np. poranek spędziłam z moją mamą, Marią ( moją partnerką ) oraz naszymi koordynatorami, z którymi wspólnie świętowaliśmy urodziny naszych bliskich, jedząc tort.

   Po południu udałyśmy się do parku, gdzie czekali na nas nasi przyjaciele zComenius’a.Park okazał się miejskim centrum sportu. Na dużym polu znajdowały się boiska do koszykówki, siatkówki, piłki nożnej oraz miejsca przeznaczone do jazdy na deskorolce. Było tam dużo ludzi, lecz mimo to bawiliśmy się świetnie. Poznaliśmy nowych hiszpańskich przyjaciół, oraz uczniów, którzy prawdopodobnie odwiedzą nas w Polsce w przyszłym roku. Pograliśmy, porozmawialiśmy oraz powygłupialiśmy się razem. Czas upłynął bardzo szybko. Nagle okazało się, że jest już 20.05, więc spakowaliśmy swoje rzeczy i poszliśmy zwiedzić miasto. Bardzo nam się spodobało. Ulice są duże, jest tu mnóstwo sklepów i restauracji, a przede wszystkim dużo zieleni, która sprawia, że miasto jest bardzo ładne i przyjazne. Po zwiedzaniu pożegnaliśmy się, po czym udaliśmy się do naszych domów.

   Dzień minął bardzo przyjemnie. Spędziliśmy go razem na świetnej zabawie J.

VALLADOLID NOS RECIBIÓ POR LA TARDE

   El almuerzo estaba servido cuando volvimos al colegio, deliciosos sándwiches y bizcochos nos esperaban; tras esta dulce pausa nos dispusimos a trabajar, Andrés nos enseño algunos trucos con un programa de tratamiento de imagen y finalmente a las 14:10 regresamos a nuestras casas y nos preparamos para la visita a Valladolid.

   A las 16:00, mochilas preparadas y dispuestos a disfrutar de la tarde, nos encontramos en la pastelería Polo para coger el bus hacia Valladolid. Nos esperaba Alfonso, profesor del colegio con Laura, una amiga y profesora de inglés, que nos hicieron de guías en lengua inglesa y agradecemos su tiempo y esfuerzo. Visitamos la primera plaza de toros, hoy transformada en viviendas, S. Pablo (increíble su fachada), la Universidad, la Antigua, escuchamos historias de reyes y de escritores,  plazas e iglesias y vimos hasta pavos reales subidos en los árboles del Campo Grande. Nuestra tarde finalizó en un Centro Comercial con la satisfacción de todos, donde unos hicimos algunas compras y otros aprovechamos para descansar.

   Creemos que nuestros compañeros polacos no se han recuperado de ese largo viaje desde su tierra. ¡¡Hoy nos mandan a la cama pronto¡¡ ¡¡Intentaremos obedecer¡¡
